Altrua HealthShare TCPA Class Action Settlement of $1.1 Million

A class action lawsuit alleged that Altrua Ministries and Crown Administrators violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) by making prerecorded calls to cell phones without the prior express consent of users.

The defendants have denied any wrongdoing or violation of the law, but agreed to pay a settlement fund of $1.1 million to avoid the costs, time, and uncertainty of continuing with the trial.

 Who can file a claim?

You are eligible to be part of this settlement if you meet the following condition:

  • You received a phone call from Crown Administrators (on behalf of Altrua HealthShare) using AIRudder technology between December 2, 2024, and December 11, 2024.

 About the Compensation

  • Estimated amount: Eligible members may receive a payment of up to $700.

  • ¿How is it calculated? The payment is subject to a pro-rata calculation. The administrator will evenly divide the remaining money from the $1.1 million fund after deducting legal fees (up to $366,666.67), administrative costs, and a service award for the class representative (up to $5,000).

  • Payment method: Checks will be mailed to the address you provide in your claim. Payments will be sent once the court grants final approval and any potential appeals are resolved.

How to claim your money

You have three options to request your form or file your claim. Important note: You do not need to provide proof or documentation proactively; the administrator will verify your eligibility using the company's call records.

  1. Online: Fill out the digital form (you will need the claim ID number that comes in the notification you received by mail).

  2. By phone: Call the settlement administrator at 833-930-0158 to request a form.
